TECHNICAL QUESTIONS

What is the recommended browser to access the virtual event?

Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.

Which devices can I access the platform with?

Though the virtual platform is accessible via computer, tablet and mobile phone, for the best experience it is recommended to use a computer to access the platform.

What virtual platform is the event using?

The IPTC Virtual Platform is hosted on a Secure Cloud Server via Amazon Web Services (AWS) and uses a content delivery network (CDN) to securely deliver data, videos and applications to users globally with low latency, high transfer speeds, all within a developer-friendly environment.

What are the recommended system requirements to access the platform?

- For bandwidth, we recommend 1Mbits download and 0.5 Mbits upload speed.
- For hardware, we recommend a minimun dual-core CPU with at least 2G of memory, also recommended any operating system capable of running the latest versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla FireFox.
- For browser, we recommend running either FireFox, Chrome, or the latest Edge (which is based on Chromium). Why? These browsers provide excellent support for web real-time communications (WebRTC). On Mac OS X, the latest Safari will work as well, but FireFox and Chrome will deliver better audio in lower bandwidth conditions.

Do I need to download software to access the virtual event?

No, the virtual event platform is fully web-based and supported through browsers from various devices.

Who do I contact if I am facing technical difficulties?

You may go to click on the ‘Help Desk’ icon in the blue shortcut bar at the bottom of your screen OR click the ‘Help Desk’ icon at the ‘Lobby’ to get LIVE Chat support with the event organizer. If the organizer is offline, you may also drop an offline message.

The audio for videos are not working.

The videos in the platform will automatically play on mute. Please click on the video or hover your mouse at the bottom of the video for the settings bar to appear. Please adjust the volume via the volume controls at the bottom right.

If you are still having issues, please contact Technical Support via the platform's Helpdesk.
